About me

Since my Photoblog got its first entry in May 2007 I try to publish new photos here relatively regularly. Thematically, there are not actually any restrictions - however, my favorites lie in the area of landscapes, people and horses.

I live and work in Marburg, a small town near Frankfurt in the middle of Germany. I like to do sports beside the activity of the photography and am enthusiastic horse rider.

Why I drive a Photoblog?
Because photos are there to being shown. And because the thoughts and opinions of other people about my photos interest me.

Equipment

At the moment, I use a Nikon D70s and a Nikon D200 with the following lenses ...

AF-S NIKKOR 18-70/3.5-4.5
AF NIKKOR 70-300/4-5.6
AFS NIKKOR 12-24/1:4
AF-S VR-NIKKOR 70-200/1:2.8

I shoot in RAW+JPEG format and post-process my digital images with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop CS3 just as I develop film in a darkroom: by increasing/decreasing contrast and saturation and adjusting tonal values.

Some snapshots come from the DSC-10 Cyber-shot from Sony.
